FRACTIONAL SCANNER Laser Grinding with CO2
Already in 1992 observed a doctor in Los Angeles that when he burned superficially with a carbon dioxide laser on a patient's skin problems, it became after healing a permanent change in the skin. He took a tissue sample and the microscopic examination showed that newly formed skin seemed to be from a younger person. This gave rise to a closer examination, which among other things, could see that the collagen layer of the skin had increased in thickness. This proved to affect both the wrinkles and scar tissue, for example acne scars.

Long experience
At the Academy Liss Wallin, we have worked with laser treatments, including carbon dioxide laser for over 10 years. Recently, however, a breakthrough occurred through what we call fractional exposure, often referred to as the FRAXEL method. This means that the laser burns in controlled microscopic points of an area instead of over the whole area. A paragraph has a diameter of about one-tenth of a millimeter and is at a distance from each other about one millimeter. It is 95% of the skin in the treated area that is completely unaffected and the task becomes much easier for the immune system and healing efficiency with equally good results as the previous significantly tougher comprehensive method.

How does it work?
First, an assessment of the skin and what to do. EMLA is a stunning ointment that can be applied 60 minutes before treatment. The laser hand piece placed against the skin and burning in a narrow second in hundred points. Since moving the hand piece at the adjacent area where the procedure is repeated. Where we have "shot" there are now small white dots. See Fig on the left. They are, in fact, small pits with a depth of 0.5 mm.

What happens then?
A moment afterwards, the skin feels warm, sometimes a bit irritated. Then it may be nice to chill a bit. The area begins blushing. Generally, not much more, but the reaction is individual. In order to improve the outcome after treatment we use a therapeutic laser. This strengthens the immune system which counteracts negative effects, such as infections. The day after the treated area has a slightly brown hue because in every little burnt point formed a small scab. This usually stays about a week. You can work, wash and live normally. Make-up can be applied the day after.

When can you see the result?
After a week you begin to see an effect. But because skin builds collagen, it is a slow process. Skin rejuvenation is gradual over the next 3-6 months. The skin is completely healed after 2-3 weeks, but the process is proceeding anyway. If you want, you can repeat the treatment. Wholly or partially. The earliest, this should be done after 1 month. The final result may of course vary, but the fractional exposure to carbon dioxide laser is in any case, the best so far, both in the treatment of wrinkles and scar tissue. Unfortunately, however, so we can never guarantee a certain result of medical work in humans (and animals) as the individual differences are so great.

A very powerful peeling, which is based on "Jesners peel, large flaking that start after a few days makes it good to be home in about a week.

Light with Laser or IPL that affect cell functions and cell tissue. Stimulation of elastin and collagen. Improves superficial blood vessels, pigment spots and small wrinkles. Advantage of AHA and vitamin C peel simultaneously.

Sanding with aluminum powder or crystals that polish the skin. Suitable for a rough and uneven skin. Several treatments required. AHA, a vitamin C and vitamin A product for daily skin care is an advantage in all of these treatments.
